When you get an estimate from a contractor – you know that it will probably be a little bit off in the other direction. However, when you get an estimate based on the square footage of work being done and then they come back after working on it for 15 hours and apparently 1/2 of the time they couldn’t do anything because they were having a hard time and they say that it will be 3 times the cost!! That is not acceptable! Especially since I am paying them for the work…I already go the materials! So, NOW I am paying them per hour. I would NEVER pay a contractor by the hour – that is crazy! And that was not the deal in the estimate. And they said they worked 18 hours – I know for a fact it was 15 tops! AND if there was a problem they should have told me the second there was and let me know that it would be more….I said here is the money for the estimate and I’ll find someone else. You can get custom pins for pretty much anything these days which is great because I think that they are much nicer to get rather than getting a trophy or a ribbon. You can actually pin a pin to a jacket and they are small so they will not take up a ton of room and be a dust collector in your child’s room. When I was in high school they use to give us pins so that we could put them on our letters on our jackets. It is like wearing a trophy but much lighter. When it comes to getting great wedding bands…why not get stainless steel rings. They are so much more affordable and you have such a great array of choices you can find online. You can get stainless steel rings with diamonds too and they are fabulous. There is so much out there on the internet when it comes to wedding bands and other types of jewelry. And in this economy this is probably the most affordable choice of jewelry these days. They look like silver and even white gold depending on the rings or jewelry that you get too. But I remember how big of a deal it used to be for me, though. I used to always wonder about what I would be doing on that special night, but I haven’t felt that way for a while now. Well I thought that now my kids are a little older and I don’t have to worry about getting them in bed so early, that it would be fun to host a New Year’s Eve party. I looked online to see if I could find some good info on how to throw a successful party with older kids. While I was doing that I ran across a miracle ear comparison and decided to go and get fitted with some hearing aids. I have found some great things for that so far, but I think that I might have to pull down some board games from the attic just in case. I love to have honey and I just found out that having a teaspoon of honey everyday can actually help with your heart. It can help prevent your arteries from hardening up and from getting clogged basically. It is very important to prevent things like this and honey is the best way in my opinion…I love honey – manuka honey is the best too at preventing illness!
