When it comes to your cable service…you really have a choice. You can either go with what your town or city offer as far as the cable goes or you can go of on your own and do something different like fios or satellite. I have checked out but Direct TV by DirectSatTV and Fios and I have to say that the Direct TV packages by DirectSatTV is looking better and better every day. I have seen and read up on some things that Fios is not all that cracked up to be. They have many problems especially when it comes to phone and power outages because there is no back up battery to the system at least around here which is weird. My husband would love to get direct tv because that is what he had before we got married. There is a much better selection of stations and the cost is pretty much that same as the cable if not better because you get so much more especially when it comes to hd. Why can’t we all just get hd channels. To pay extra for them is just insane.

And you can read up on the government dish rules and other consumer facts right online to see if satellite would be right for you. You may thing that if you live in an area that has lots of trees or is on that mountain or higher elevation that you will have a hard time getting service. But my neighbor has it and she has had it for years and she loves it. She has never had a problem with it. On occation during a really bad storm things may get grishy for just a few seconds but that is the same with cable most of the time too…or we just lose it all together for a few hours. And not only the cable but the internet and the phone if you get that bundle thing. I think that everyone is different and has their own preferances so you really just have to look into it to see which you would like better for your television services.
